The company that we now know of as “Wildwood Lamps and Accents” started in 1900 as a retail furniture store in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. And, interestingly, it also had an undertaker and embalming parlor, a practice that was quite common for furniture stores in the South at that time. In the early 1960’s the owner’s grandson became manager of the store. During this time, the company put greater attention to making and selling table lamps. Later on, “Wildwood Lamps and Accents” was launched.
